"My Greek Wedding" actor dies Israel today

Michael Konstantin, who also starred in series such as "Law and Order" and "Murder by Pulling a Pen", has passed away.


Actor Michael Konstantin has passed away, his agent confirmed to news sites yesterday (Wednesday).

Although he passed away almost two weeks ago on August 31, the matter of his death has been confirmed and published only now.

Constantine died at the age of 94 surrounded by his family and natural circumstances.

The actor, a son of Greek immigrants, began his acting career as early as the 1950s, and was best known for his role as Gus, the father of Tula Portoclos (actress Nia Verdalos) in the blockbuster film "My Greek Wedding" from 2002 and the sequel "My Greek Wedding 2 "Since 2016.

Over the years he also starred on the Broadway stages and in the hit TV series "Room 222", for which he even won an Emmy.

In addition, he also took part in the series "Law and Order", "Murder by Pulling a Pen" and "Remington Steel".

Upon learning of his death, Nia Verdelus, who as mentioned played his daughter in "My Greek Wedding," praised him on Twitter: "Playing alongside him has always been accompanied by a burst of love and fun," she wrote.

Acting with him came with a rush of love and fun.

I will treasure this man who brought Gus to life.

He gave us so much laughter and deserves a rest now.
