A Syrian mosaic painting from various governorates whose pillar was a message for life and man, and its instrument was the throats of 250 young men and women from 10 choirs and choirs that sang for love, beauty and the homeland, concluding the “Syria Choirs” forum in its second edition, which was held by the General Authority of Dar al-Assad for Culture and Arts at the Opera Theater in Damascus.
In order to present the most beautiful and best, the organizers of the forum broke the usual rhythm of the concerts, so the first paragraph of the closing program for the members of the Saint Ephrem Syriac Patriarchal Choir led by Maestro Shadi Sarwa.
The choir, which was established in 1980, participated in many local cultural events and organized many community initiatives. During the evening, it presented a group of ancient Syriac songs from the ancient Mardali heritage.
The choir performed a group of Syriac musical styles from songs by Syrian composers, providing a historical documentation of social events.
As for the second part of the choral evening, which was led by Maestro Misak Baghboudrian, he reviewed the outcome of the workshop that was held on the sidelines of the forum, with the participation of 10 choirs, 4 from Damascus and 6 choirs and choirs from the governorates.
The choirs participating in the forum sang pieces composed by Maestro Bishr Issa “A. Al Rozana” and “Damascus Market” composed by Maestro Hossam El Din Primo, and a medley of Syriac folk songs prepared by Maestro Shadi Sarwa, to conclude the forum with the patriotic song by writing your name, my country, and the Syrian Arab anthem.
At the end of the forum, he honored the participating choirs, which are the chamber choir of the Higher Institute of Music, the choirs of Sada Yabroud, Urjuwan of Tartous, Rainbow of Damascus, Church of Umm al-Zinar Homs, Hanin Safita, Gardenia Damascus, The Good Shepherd Lattakia, Spartan of Aleppo and St. Ephrem the Syriac Damascus.
