The Napoleon barracks, in the 4th arrondissement, are in turmoil.
This building, which still housed the Republican Guard until 2010, now houses the Department of Prevention, Security and Protection (DPSP) of the Paris City Hall.
In short: the headquarters of the municipal police wanted and officially put in place by Anne Hidalgo this fall.
This force should have 5,000 agents at the end of its mandate in 2026, including 3,400 “real” municipal police officers.
The other agents will be mediators or agents of parks and gardens.
We will have to be ready to tackle, from 2024, the Olympic Games, an event of planetary magnitude that would not suffer any false notes.
