Suddenly and unexpectedly, Klaus Kinshofer (61) from Miesbach died of cardiac arrest while on vacation on Lake Garda.

An obituary for the famous musician and entrepreneur.

Miesbach

- The color black was only sparsely represented at the funeral of Klaus Kinshofer in the Miesbach forest cemetery.

Leisure outfits were popular - at the express request of the family: "Please come in normal clothes, just as Klausi would like it," said the obituary in our newspaper.

And if the mourners followed the quote from Jimi Hendrix, which was also placed there, one or the other rock'n'roll and country song should have played.

That would also have suited Klaus Kinshofer's life.

Because there was one thing for sure: quiet.

Obituary for Klaus Kinshofer: Entrepreneur suffers cardiac arrest while on vacation on Lake Garda

The bass guitarist rocked the Oberland stages for decades with his bands. Kinshofer became internationally known through its metal construction company, which sells depot containers for glass and waste disposal all over the world. The Miesbach entrepreneur suddenly and unexpectedly had to leave his very personal stage. While on vacation on Lake Garda, he suffered cardiac arrest at the age of only 61. A shock for his family, his many friends and companions.

Entrepreneurship was practically in Kinshofer's blood.

His father once founded the now globally active company Kinshofer Greiftechnik based in Marienstein.

But Klaus Kinshofer wanted to build something of his own.

In the mid-1990s, he discovered a niche in the market: innovative, high-quality depot containers.

They are still made today at the Miesbacher Windfeld.

Kinshofer achieved the greatest coup in 2008 when he won a global tender and was able to deliver 600 waste glass and paper containers to the Caribbean island of Guadeloupe.

The boss insisted on helping with the construction himself on site.

Klaus Kinshofer died: thoroughbred musician was a freedom-loving and humorous person

His companions describe him as freedom-loving, humorous and straightforward.

If someone asked him for help, he was there immediately.

With his practical nature, he always came up with a good solution.

But Kinshofer was not only a full-blooded entrepreneur, he was also a full-blooded musician.

In 1986, after three years in the USA, he returned home with a suitcase full of country records.

Here he convinced his three bandmates from Sawdust Factory to switch from rock'n'roll to country.

And that hit the Oberland.

The Barn Mountain Rangers made up to 80 appearances each summer.

In 1988 they started a country festival, and their single “Brand New Cowboyschua” was even shown on television and radio.

In 2005 the band broke up for professional and family reasons.

Obituary for Klaus Kinshofer: Family was the most important thing in his life

Most recently, Kinshofer concentrated fully on the most important things in his life: his wife Andrea (58), his children Annika (28) and Klausi (34) and his two grandchildren Benedikt (2) and Valentin (4 months).

Not only they are of the opinion that their Klaus left much too early.

But what he left behind will be there forever: his music, his company - and his family.
