Another couple difficult to dissociate. Especially since the specialists do not always agree among themselves in the definition of their differences. I will therefore content myself with telling you that these are two figures which remove the logical links (conjunctions or coordinations) in a sentence. It goes from expressions like "
Willingly, badly
" or "
Like father, like son
" to Hugo's line "
J'irai par la forêt, j'irai par la montagne." / I cannot stay away from you any longer
"to these lines from Jules Renard:"
The storm was breaking out. The rain was falling in white rays. The tiles were crying like eyes. Small drops spurted out from the cracks in the windows. Outside the horse bowed its head
", Passing by these words of Camus:"
Mother deceased.
Burial tomorrow
”, and these advertising slogans:“
Bread, wine, Boursin
”,“
1664. Four figures.
A beer
”,“
Bic done, well done
”.
