Microsoft has begun experimenting and is exploring the possibility that it will allow Xbox users to navigate console menus using the home TV remote control.
The latest generation Series X \ S consoles contain an HDMI-CEC component that allows standard TVs to pick up the signal and allow users to control console menus and even other applications.
Currently the Xbox remote has allowed users to control the volume of the TV, but now players will not have to use the Xbox remote while watching Netflix, YouTube, Softify or other streaming services.
The new option will allow players to change the HDMI channel to that of the Xbox via the console itself remote.

The new option is on the Xbox Options screen, but is currently only available to a limited number of testers around the world who have previously been registered as testers for Microsoft.
The update is expected to be released for all users in the coming months after the testing phases are completed.
Microsoft is working on several new options at the same time, such as support for the Edge browser via the Xbox console, support for 4K resolutions for the main menu, and "night mode" that will allow players to customize the LED lighting on the signs and the console itself.
Soon, players will not have to purchase a dedicated remote control for the Xbox method and will be able to do so from the home remote control (Photo: window central)
