As the police reported, a tragic accident occurred on the NU 6 district road on Wednesday afternoon. According to witnesses, a tractor with a mower drove in the direction of Steinheim. A 53-year-old was driving his motorcycle behind him, followed by an Opel and a Mercedes. At the level of the Fohlenweg, the motorcyclist started to overtake the tractor according to previous knowledge, blinked and drove into the opposite lane. The motorcyclist probably overlooked the oncoming Audi, which was almost at the same height. There was a head-on collision.
Due to the force of the collision, the colliding vehicles were also thrown against the following Opel and the Mercedes.
First aiders immediately provided first aid.
Then the emergency services and the emergency doctor took over, but were unable to save the motorcyclist.
The 53-year-old motorcyclist died at the scene of the accident.
The relatives of the injured motorcyclist rushed to the scene of the accident themselves, and the crisis intervention team was contacted for support.
Participating drivers unharmed
The 25-year-old Audi driver was slightly injured.
The 53-year-old Opel driver, the 58-year-old Mercedes driver and the family traveling with them were not injured, but suffered a shock.
There is currently no trace of the tractor driver.

All of the vehicles involved in the accident, with the exception of the Mercedes, were no longer ready to drive and had to be evacuated from the scene of the accident by a towing service. There was a total damage of approx. 76,000 euros. The accident route had to be closed for the duration of the accident recording and cleaning work for more than three and a half hours between the entrance and exit on the B10 and the local road to Finningen. In addition to the ambulance and emergency doctor, an ambulance helicopter, several vehicles from the Neu-Ulm and Steinheim fire brigade and several patrol crews from the Neu-Ulm police station were in action.
