In the midst of the controversy and the questions, the Minister of Security, Sabina Frederic, insisted this Thursday with the comparison between the City of Buenos Aires and Santa Fe by the homicide rate registered during 2020 in those districts and questioned the head of Government of from Buenos Aires, Horacio Rodríguez Larreta.

Frederic responded to the criticism he received for having said that the homicide rate in the City grew more than in Santa Fe. Among the main questions, Rodríguez Larreta warned that

what the minister said

"is incredible, very serious

."

Faced with this statement, the official replied: "It seems to me that

Larreta does not know how to count

. On April 9 of this year a report of criminal acts including homicides was published and they themselves announced that there was a 22% rise in the homicide rate in the city".

And he added: "There were 16 more homicides (than in 2019). And in Santa Fe there was an 8.9% increase in the homicide rate. I never said that the homicide rate in Ciudad was higher than in Santa Fe because it is the highest in the country, but the increase during 2020 in the City, said by themselves, was 22% ".

Frederic insisted that he made "the comment in relation to security in the City", and assured that "obviously the situation is more serious is in Santa Fe and mainly in Rosario, where there is a situation of chronic violence."
