Unterallgäu / Memmingen - This coming Tuesday, September 14th, many children in the district have a very special day in their lives ahead of them. At a total of 36 primary schools run by the state school authorities in the Unterallgäu district and in the city of Memmingen, they sit in the classroom with a school cone and for the first time look excitedly at the blackboard. Education authority director Bertram Hörtensteiner has now explained which rules ABC shooters and relatives must observe on Tuesday at school enrollment celebrations in the district.
“The beginning of primary school is an important event for school beginners as well as for their parents and relatives,” says Hörtensteiner.
Due to the special exceptional situation caused by Corona, some rules on infection protection must also be observed on this first day of school.
"This is the only way to ensure a safe start for all pupils in the new school year and from the first day of school - especially with regard to the currently increasing number of new infections", explains Hörtensteiner.
Among other things, on the basis of the new Bavarian Infection Protection Measures Ordinance, the following rules apply to school entrance celebrations:
Number of participants
· There
is no
fixed upper limit for
persons
.
· Those present must keep a
minimum distance of 1.5 meters
both on the school premises and in the interior.
Members of the own household, spouses, partners in a cohabiting relationship, straight relatives and siblings are excluded.
· The school management determines the
number of possible accompanying persons
per first grader, whereby this is based on the size of the premises.
· Since the minimum distance of 1.5 meters must be observed, it is
not possible
for parents or other accompanying persons to accompany the
children into the classroom
.
In order to identify contact persons in the event of an infection with Corona, the schools must
record
the
contact details
of those present.
Has to be tested?
· All students in grades 1 to 4 are
required to take
a
test
.
Participation in the school entrance party and face-to-face lessons is only possible for first graders with proof of a negative test result.
Evidence of the test is not required for asymptomatic students who are
fully vaccinated or have recovered
.
· Parents should therefore have their child
tested before September 14th if possible
and present a valid negative test evidence (max. 48 hours old PCR test or max. 24 hours old antigen rapid test) on the first day of school.
If no negative and still valid test evidence is presented,
the 1st grade pupils
must
carry out a
self-test provided by the school
or leave the school premises.
· In order to enable a safe school entrance celebration, attending custodians and other people outside the school should take part in the school entrance celebration as fully vaccinated, recovered or tested as possible.
However, there is no obligation to provide evidence to the school in this regard.
Do you have to wear a mask?
· It is
compulsory to wear a mask in buildings and closed rooms
on the entire school
premises
.
·
Children of primary school age
are allowed to
use a textile mouth and nose cover
instead of a medical face mask
;
However, the Ministry of Health recommends that they also wear medical masks (so-called "surgical masks"), provided that a close concern is always guaranteed.
·
Older children and adolescents
(from grade 5) as well as
adults
are required to wear a medical mask.
Children up to their sixth birthday
are exempt from the obligation to carry.
