The Buenos Aires Minister of Security, Sergio Berni, led an anti-drug operation in the city of Rosario on Thursday, amid the questions to his Nation counterpart, Sabina Frederic, for the wave of crimes in that city and the lack of federal forces .
Berni led the "Operation White Wind" in Rosario in which they thwarted a gang that sold and distributed drugs from Rosario to San Nicolás, in the province of Buenos Aires.
The Buenos Aires minister, who has publicly criticized Frederic's management on several occasions, was present at the operation together with the Chief of Police of the province of Buenos Aires, Daniel Alberto García;
the Chief of the Special Forces, Walter Chucaloni, and the Undersecretary of Criminal Intelligence, Sebastián Ciatti.
The operation led by Berni comes hours after the controversial statements by Frederic, who insisted this Thursday on comparing the number of homicides in the City of Buenos Aires with that of the province of Santa Fe during 2020, which generated criticism from the entire arc opponent and the head of the City Government, Horacio Rodríguez Larreta.

The national minister had already been at the center of criticism last week, when she relativized the security problem and stated that "Switzerland is a calmer but more boring country" than Argentina.
At the time, Berni was critical and accused her of "partying" during the pandemic.
"During the pandemic he was partying, we were working instead of partying; with that intellectual gaze that has nothing to do with reality, those of us who live in the Conurbano feel that it is on another frequency," Berni said.
With the same tone, Berni said on radio La Red: "Why don't you become aware of our dead? Why don't you come to work in the villages with us? Why don't you come to work against drug trafficking with the problems What do we have here, not in Rosario? ".
