Steve from "Blue's Clues" explains his estrangement 2:00

Thanks Steve Burns for clarifying what happened when you left "Blue's Tracks (Blues Clues)".
The original host of the popular '90s Nickelodeon series appears in a video posted Tuesday on Nick Jr.'s verified Twitter account.
In honor of the show's 25th anniversary, Burns talks about his decision to abruptly leave the show in 2002, which left many viewers upset.

"Do you remember how when we were younger, we used to run and hang out with Blue and find clues and talk to Mr. Sal and go crazy with the mail and do all that fun stuff?"
Burns says in the video.
"And then one day, I was like, 'Oh hi, guess what? Great news, I'm off. Here's my brother Joe, he's your new best friend,' and then I got on a bus and left and we didn't see each other. for a really long time ... Can we talk about that? Great. Because I realize it was a bit abrupt. "
Wearing the t-shirt and hat he was wearing as the host, Burns explained that he left the show to go to college.
Burns said school "was really challenging, by the way, but great because I was able to use my mind and take it one step at a time and now I'm literally doing a lot of the things that I wanted to do."
He also highlighted all the achievements that both he and the public have had.

Burns said.
"Student loans and jobs and families? And some of these things have been a little difficult, you know? I know you know."

"I wanted to tell you that I really couldn't have done all of that without your help and in fact all the help that you gave me when we were younger is still helping me today, right now. And that's great," Burns said.
