Dr. Ibrahim Zaarour, head of the Damascus branch of the Writers Union, pointed out the importance of shedding light on the creative personalities who left and left many creative traces, including the great writer Mamdouh Adwan, the poet, creator and multi-talented.
As for the writer Sobhi Saeed, who moderated the symposium, he pointed out that the late Adwan lived the dream of conscious disobedience and lit up many facts. It is necessary to shed light on his poetic and theatrical works and the translations he provided that enriched the Arab Library, indicating that celebrating the creators and studying their works strengthens and deepens our belief in our homelands that these creators loved. And they dedicated their lives in order to rise to the heights of glory.
In his axis entitled (Mamdouh Adwan as a Poet), the poet Dr. Nizar Brik Heneidy explained that Adwan lived his whole life in the heart of the Arab cultural scene, making noise around him at every step. A poetic modernity that contributes to a real construction of poetry, using popular words and expressions in the texture of his poem without compromising the essence of poetic construction, in addition to that he was a master of the press and theater.
Employing heritage in the creativity of Mamdouh Adwan, the poetic, theatrical and researcher was the focus of the critic Dr. Ghassan Ghoneim, who showed that the cultural space of Adwan is very wide in addition to his ability to evoke heritage and employ it in his poetic and theatrical creations, indicating that he sees history from a new point of view, as he is not a historian but rather a writer analyzing issues Which revolves in his time through a specific process of exclusion through which the past falls on the present.
In his intervention, researcher and media person Deeb Ali Hassan spoke about Odwan's journalistic writings, in which he discussed the experiences of other writers and writers.
