"
Half of French people believe that the
health pass
does not change, and will not change anything, their
holiday
habits
": this is one of the conclusions of a Harris Interactive study carried out for the low-cost airline easyJet ( 1). A particularly strong feeling among people over 50 (60%) and those who have completed a complete vaccination schedule (59%). Some French people (15%) even say they are ready to travel more in the future even if the health pass were to settle in the longer term.
“
While our sector is in the recovery phase, the implementation of the health pass has been able to give visibility and reassurance to our customers across France and Europe.
The fact that the majority of French people do not consider it as a reason for changing their travel habits is encouraging for the French tourist economy
”, underlines Bertrand Godinot, general manager of EasyJet for France.

Rather August and September
The study also looks at the preferred departure periods for the French during the summer holidays.
After August (42%), September is the most popular month (35%) by travelers, in particular by seniors - 65 years and over (55%).
The reasons given?
More affordable rental rates, less frequented places, still mild weather and "
the guilty pleasure of knowing that you are on vacation when most of the French have resumed their usual rhythm
".
As in previous months, the French want to fly, in order of preference, to Italy, Spain, Greece and Portugal.
