Val-de-Marne: secondary school unions boycott the meeting of the school map

2021-09-09T19:06:56.557Z

Four unions believe that the academic inspectorate has not fulfilled the minimum conditions for them to seize co-files.

"It's yet another provocation from the inspection," said Arnaud Delpech of Snes-Fsu.

With the CGT and FO, the union refused to sit at the meeting of the school map this Thursday, decisive moment of the start of the school year which must arbitrate on the last adjustments in terms of class opening, and therefore the creation of a position in colleges.

They denounce "a trade union obstruction".

"We have been asking for the documents to be sent in spreadsheet format for several months as has always been the case, but for some time now they have been sent to us in PDF and out of legal time so that we can process the files" , says Arnaud Delpech.

The meeting is due to be reconvened on September 17th.

29 openings and 17 closures in primary

The unions of primary school teachers met with the Academic Directorate of National Education Services (Dasen) to make the final adjustments on Tuesday. This year, in kindergarten 16 job openings are to be noted, against 5 closures. In elementary school, count 13 openings for 12 permanent closings.

But “these figures should be taken with caution, warns Cyrille Micheletta of Sniupp-Fsu.

Some classes were closed last June and are finally reopened at the start of the school year.

So this does not exactly correspond to a class opening.

"For the union representative, the problem lies in the capping of the large section classes to 24 pupils and the consequences which ensue:" To enforce this measure desired by the President of the Republic, the classes are reduced in the large section, but they will fill up in small and medium with classes at two levels.

Even if he welcomes this measure, he judges that it “should not be done to the detriment of other levels”.

Contacted, the academic inspectorate did not respond.
