At the trade fair in the east of the city, Volkswagen is using a large platform to present the latest innovations and visions for the upcoming traffic turnaround.
One vehicle that stands out at the Volkswagen site is the VW ID.Life: a kind of small-car SUV as the next-generation entry-level model.
With affordable prices, manageable dimensions (around four meters in length) and a trendy, no-frills exterior, the futuristic Volkswagen buggy is primarily aimed at younger groups of buyers.

The presumed outlook for the later VW ID.2 is available on the MEB * electric platform and should be available as an entry-level version for around 20,000 euros. Should the state e-car bonus still exist, the VW novelty would be thousands of euros cheaper - so there is definitely bargain potential here. The Volkswagen design is specially tailored for urban areas. It is interesting that the VW ID.Life study is primarily to be made from sustainable materials, with a minimalist appearance in the foreground. According to reports, the later VW ID.1 will be produced in Spain.
Exterior and interior mirrors are no longer necessary due to camera technology.
The use of virtual media plays a major role in the “driving experience”.
As brand boss Ralf Brandstätter described, it is about the "integration of the car into the living environment".
And it is already known that a large part of this takes place digitally.

How is the e-car design presented at the IAA received by the fans of the brand? Split, of course. A user can see more than just positive things from the automaker's drive for innovation: "A few more easy-to-use buttons for functions such as volume and heating would have been great too."
