2021-09-10T17:13:22.917Z

The weekly meetings of the sanitary pass are continuing. They were around 123,000 demonstrators last week.

A ninth weekend of demonstrations against the health pass and compulsory vaccination is preparing.

Around 100 gatherings are to be expected throughout the territory.

In Nancy, this weekend marks the start of the literary event “

the Book on the Square

”.

To avoid disturbances, the prefecture of Meurthe-et-Moselle has chosen to prohibit any demonstration within a fairly large perimeter of the city center under penalty of a fine of 135 euros.

Protesters have said they will gather more this weekend in Paris, where four rallies have been declared at the prefecture.

If the police do not wish to comment on the estimated number of participants, they were 18,425 to march through the streets of the capital last weekend.

A declining mobilization

The jump envisaged at the start of the school year by the demonstrators like the prefecture did not take place. Mobilization has almost halved over the past four weeks. The Interior Ministry has in fact identified 123,230 participants last Saturday, against 160,000 the previous week and 215,000 on August 14. The militant collective “

The Yellow Number

”, which publishes a city-by-city count, had for its part counted 323,294

“minimum”

demonstrators on

Saturday, August 28, against 361,818 the previous week.

On his Twitter account, “

Anonymous Citizen

” has been broadcasting the lists of expected events for nine weeks.

This Friday, he shared a "

non-exhaustive

" list of just over 100 events throughout France.

Among them, 5 are planned in Paris, and 4 authorized by the prefecture.

At 1 pm, demonstrators "

in white

" should meet in front of the Ministry of Health, Place Pierre Laroque (7th arrondissement).

This interprofessional procession is intended to support caregivers, students, firefighters who are subject to compulsory vaccination.

A second meeting point has been set by Florian Philippot.

The candidate for the 2022 presidential election and founder of the Les Patriotes movement announced on his Twitter account a “

huge national procession

” departing from Place du Paraguay (16th) at 2pm and up to Trocadéro (16th).

He specifies the presence of Fabrice Di Vizio.

Two other protests were announced.

One, “

on the initiative of a“ yellow vest ”, announces the prefecture, from the place Chaban Delmas (7th) and bound for the Royal Palace (1st)

”.

The other, organized by a certain Hadama Traoré between Place Wagram (17th arrondissement) and the Royal Palace.

Several “yellow vests” have planned to be added to it.

Uncertainties in Châtelet

The possibility of a rally in Châtelet remains uncertain. Announced on several Twitter accounts, it had already raised questions last week. A few hours before the demonstrations of September 4, the "

Citizen's Union for Liberty

" let it be known that the prefect of Paris had sent a "

partial prohibition order

" to impose a departure on November 8, 1942 (10th arrondissement). This information has not been confirmed by the police.

In this uncertain context, several overflows took place last Saturday in the Les Halles shopping center, place du Châtelet. On Twitter, a video shared by the journalist of the Loopsider media, Amar Taoualit, had outraged several Internet users, denouncing police violence. Three people were arrested on the spot for violence and insults against the police. No injuries or damage had been reported. In total, 21 arrests took place during these demonstrations in France last weekend.
