Do unvaccinated people in Bavaria have to reckon with further tightening of the corona soon?
If Holetschek has its way, this is urgently necessary for compensation after quarantine.
Munich - Anyone who is quarantined because of Corona * may face a loss of wages.
But for Bavaria's Health Minister Klaus Holetschek (CSU) it is clear: Unvaccinated people should - in his view - no longer have the right to compensation.
Wage compensation for unvaccinated people: Holetschek makes it clear - "At some point there will be no more reason"
"If the vaccination * is reasonable and there are no health reasons against it, at some point there is no longer any reason that this compensation for loss of earnings is ultimately paid again by the taxpayer," argues Holetschek in the ZDF program "Maybrit Illner".
In the Free State, the total was already 83 million euros.
According to the Infection Protection Act, this is currently legally possible, he emphasized.
This topic is not only discussed in Bavaria.
Corona vaccination in Bavaria: Holetschek emphasizes - "Just have to be consistent"
Baden-Württemberg had already announced that the state would no longer compensate for non-vaccinated loss of earnings in quarantine.
According to the Ministry of Health, it can be assumed that everyone will have had a vaccination option by September 15.
In Rhineland-Palatinate, the Corona * regulation is to be implemented on October 1st.
The Bavarian Minister of Health also emphasized on ZDF: If someone does not want to be vaccinated against a corona infection, it should "not be at the expense of society".
Holetschek: "We just have to be consistent."
