The Tutzing section of the German Alpine Club elects the entrepreneur Tobias Heß at the top.

The members now have to pay higher contributions - because the taxes on the umbrella organization are increasing.

Tutzing - change of leadership in the Tutzing section of the German Alpine Club (DAV): Tobias Heß, a 33-year-old entrepreneur from Tutzing, was unanimously elected as the new chairman at the general meeting. He is replacing Axel Reisacher, who in six years as vice chairman and twelve years as chairman "made an outstanding contribution to the section and has now not stood as a candidate". This is what the section reports in a press release.

The other board members were confirmed in their offices by the 34 members present: Leonhard Geißler (Tutzing) remains the second chairman, treasurer Maximiliane Eisner-Höpe (Tutzing), youth representative Barbara Heimerl (Tutzing) and secretary Konrad Kurzinger (Penzberg).

Eva Göb-Cribb (Feldafing) and Stefan Föster (Tutzing) were newly elected as auditors.

In the previous weeks, advisory boards had been elected in the local groups of Tutzing, Seeshaupt, Penzberg and Kochel, who belong to the extended board of the section, which has a little over 3000 members.

These eleven advisory councils were confirmed by the members at the section assembly.

It is getting more expensive - "due to new tasks such as digitization and climate protection"

According to the press release, the financial contributions of the section to the DAV umbrella association have increased significantly in recent years - "due to new tasks such as digitization and climate protection".

Therefore, the Tutzing section has to increase its membership fees in certain categories by 5 euros.

From 2022 the annual fee for A members will be 65 euros, for B members 35 euros, and for young people it will remain unchanged at 30 euros.

"With these measures, the DAV Tutzing section will have a solid financial base for the next few years," says Tobias Heß happily.

And he adds: "The section is in a good position in many ways, for example with the well-managed Tutzinger Hut or with the training and maintenance activities on our approximately 120-kilometer network of mountain trails."

According to its own statements, the DAV is currently developing an ambitious climate protection concept that will require great efforts from the sections in the coming years. Hess remarks: “I am happy to take on this task because nature conservation is an important motivation for me to get involved in the DAV. But other challenges also appeal to me, for example the rejuvenation of the section and digitization. "
