The 211 district councillors in Hong Kong took the oath in batches. Today (10th), the Hong Kong Island district councilors "take the lead." Except for the Eastern District Councillor Tsai Chi-keung who refused to take the oath, all 14 democratic district councillors completed the oath.
According to the news, Wanchai District Councillors Leung Pak-kin and Yang Xueying, and Southern District Councillor Peng Zhuoqi have all received letters from the government asking for further explanations.
Both Yang Xueying and Peng Zhuoqi were involved in the primary election of the Legislative Council last year. They were also charged with violating the "Hong Kong National Security Act" and are now being released on bail.
The news also pointed out that these three members were not the only district councillors who received the letter.
