A person was killed and 16 others were injured today in a bus accident in the north of the Egyptian governorate of Minya, while three passengers were injured in a train carriage derailment between the governorates of Ismailia and Alexandria.
And the Egyptian Al-Youm Al-Sabea website quoted security sources as saying that a microbus accident on the Ring Road on the Samalut axis, north of Minya Governorate, resulted in the death of one person and the injury of 16 others.
The sources pointed out that an investigation has been launched into the circumstances of the accident, which occurred as a result of a defective steering wheel in the hands of its driver, which led to the bus overturning.
Three passengers were injured when a train derailed on a trip between the governorates of Ismailia and Alexandria in northern Egypt.
The Railways Authority stated that while a train was passing in the area of Hosh, Shabanat Station, near the Zagazig station, the buggy of one of the carriages came off the tracks, causing the next two carriages to deviate from the rails and injuring three people.
