Lechbruck - The "Schmetterling" travel agency has had a new manager in August, Patrick Aust.

The previous managing director Monika Fischer is now retiring after 23 years.

Patrick Aust has 20 years of experience in the travel industry. He worked for TUI in Greece, Tunisia and the Canary Islands for three years and then worked for the travel agency “Enzian” in Schongau for 17 years - first as an employee and later as an independent manager. “I'm really looking forward to my new role and my new customers. Especially in the ongoing Corona period, I attach particular importance to good and extensive advice. My customers should be able to enjoy a safe and relaxing holiday, ”says Patrick Aust in an interview with the messenger. Monika Fischer stood by her successor for the handover in August; Aust has been looking after the customers alone since the beginning of the month.

Monika Fischer built up the travel agency over the past 23 years with a lot of joy and commitment and established it as a competent and popular address for holiday-loving customers in the vicinity of Lechbruck.

She started her self-employment in the Lechbruck town hall in a small office with only 16 square meters.

Even today she is grateful to former mayor Dieter Hollmann that this space made it possible for her to start at the time.

The travel agency with larger rooms is now located on Füssener Straße.

Enough space to offer customers first-class service and meet individual travel needs.

"Since I like to travel the world myself and traveling is also my personal passion, I was always able to advise my customers very well and firsthand."

Lots of milestones

Another milestone in the company's history, in addition to the move to Füssener Strasse, was the connection of your travel agency to “Schmetterling International”. A good step, as it turned out during the corona pandemic at the latest: “I had and have a strong supporter in my back with 'Schmetterling International'. Together we worked tirelessly for our customers and survived this difficult time, ”says Monika Fischer looking back.

The travel agency covered the entire spectrum of travel types: individual travel, package tours, special family travel and also group travel: from China to Dubai to Thailand and India and countless other destinations in Europe. A highlight was a long trip by the Schönegger “Almmusikanten” to the south of Brazil to the twin city of Alegre - including a visit to the Oktoberfest there. Or the Caribbean cruise as a listeners' trip from Radio Ostallgäu. This diversity is to be maintained under the new management of Patrick Aust. “I have so many wonderful memories and I am very happy to have found a successor in Patrick Aust who has as big a tourist heart as I do. I know that my customers are in the best of hands with him. "
