"There have been protests since August 15 and their number was increasing until the instruction this Wednesday night on the prohibition of illegal assemblies. Reports indicate that the Taliban increasingly resort to the use of force against those who participate. or they report on the demonstrations, "Shamdasani added.

"General restrictions on peaceful assemblies are a violation of international law, as are general internet shutdowns, which often violate the principles of necessity and proportionality.
