Algerian Foreign Minister Ramtane Lamamra renewed the call to expedite the expulsion of all foreign forces and mercenaries from Libyan territory and to hold elections without any external influence, within the framework of settling the Libyan crisis.
Since the aggression of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) in 2011, Libya has been in a state of chaos and insecurity in light of the proliferation of weapons and terrorist organizations and a power struggle.
In an interview with Sputnik, Lamamra said that Algeria is keen on the security and stability of Libya and supports the exit of all foreign forces from it to ensure that the elections will take place without foreign influence, and that Libya will restore all characteristics of independence and sovereignty, provided that it is an orderly and not chaotic exit, otherwise it will result in striking the stability of neighboring countries, pointing out He pointed out that the meeting of the neighboring countries of Libya came based on the clear positions of his country's government regarding Libya and to combine efforts in support of the government of national unity in it.
Lamamra added: Algeria considers Tripoli a red line and will make every effort to support the brotherly Libyan people.
During the opening of the ministerial meeting of the neighboring countries of Libya, which was held in Algeria on the thirtieth of last month, Lamamra stressed the need to expel all foreign forces and mercenaries as soon as possible from Libyan lands and to continue efforts to complete the unification of state institutions and achieve national reconciliation within the framework of settling the crisis in Libya.
