The autopsy of the body of a man in his thirties found in a pond in Rennes, weighted with a concrete block, confirms the criminal nature of the death, said the Rennes public prosecutor on Saturday.
The autopsy revealed "
numerous wounds attesting to significant violence caused to the victim, some of which could be fatal
" and "
the immersion in water was carried out post mortem
", indicated Philippe Astruc by email, specifying that the investigations "
are continuing to establish the identity of the victim
".
The body was found Friday by walkers in one of the ponds of Apigné, west of Rennes.
The investigation will be entrusted at the beginning of the week to an investigating judge as part of a criminal judicial investigation.
