Erich Utz would like to move into the Bundestag for “the left”.

To get into conversation with potential voters, he went on a bike tour through the Tölzer Land and Miesbach.

Bad Tölz / Miesbach - out on the Isar by bike.

When Erich Utz (Die Linke) wants to relax, he swings on one of his three wheels and drives from his home in Munich's West Park into nature.

So he combined his hobby and his means of transport - Utz has no car - with his election campaign and called for a bike tour through Tölzer Land and Miesbach.

Because Utz wants to move into the Bundestag as the successor to Andreas Wagner from Geretsried.

He is the candidate for the constituency of Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen / Miesbach.

Utz: People shouldn't have to be dependent on cars

He consciously chose the bike for his political action.

"I want to be seen and to enter into a dialogue with citizens." To this end, he wants to set an example for one of his goals: "A two-pronged expansion of train traffic in the Oberland and more cycle paths." Action must be taken to prevent people who live in the Oberland depend on a car, that's the ambition of the 62-year-old lawyer.

From the Tölzer Bahnhofsplatz he kicked off on his full-day tour with party colleagues.

There were stops at the place-name signs of numerous communities, such as Greiling and Sachsenkam;

a longer break followed in Holzkirchen.

Private properties with lake access are a thorn in his side

The “Left” candidate has a special concern in the communities around the Tegernsee.

Because it bothers Utz enormously that there are many private properties with lake access.

"The Bavarian constitution says that everyone has a right of access to natural beauties," argues Utz.

So he wants to work to ensure that everyone can use access to the lakes.

“You could build such a circular cycle path right on the lake,” speculates Utz.

There are still no more detailed considerations.

He would find the associated compulsory expropriation “fair and in the interest of the general good.” Because it is clear to him that infrastructural expansion must always be placed higher than private property.

He found compulsory expropriation "fair and in the interests of the common good."

Basically, the aim of his tour is "to be seen" and "to get into conversation".

Because Utz often feels a "fundamental lack of openness" towards his party in the Oberland.

“A lot of people don't even want to stop and talk to you.

I don't understand. ”Therefore, shortly before the election, he would like to make another special effort to exchange ideas with the citizens of his constituency.
