Do not imagine it: Maccabi Tel Aviv and Maccabi Petah Tikva parted ways in a 1: 1 draw | Israel today

The Yellows again dropped an advantage, this time it ended in a tie • Stipa Fritza (31) scored a debut goal, Lamek Benda (57) set the result of the game • Van Leven with a point from six possible

In the darkest dreams of the people of Maccabi Tel Aviv, they did not imagine that they would start the season with one point out of six possible, probably when the rivals that the Yellows had in the first two rounds were Bnei Sakhnin and Maccabi Petah Tikva.

But reality slapped them in the face.

In contrast to the Yellows' sluggish game against Sakhnin, Patrick Van Leven's side with Gabi Kanikovsky, Dan Bitton and Stipa Fritza looked much better, reaching good situations for the breakaway, but still not the level one would expect from the runner-up.

Fritza, who first started in the squad, gave Maccabi a justified advantage in the first half.

Kanykowski was very active and added creativity that the Yellows had lacked since the start of the season, but it still wasn’t enough to win, as Lamek Benda took advantage of a poor position from Luis Hernandez, who just froze in place, to give Guy Luzon an expensive point at Bloomfield.

Maccabi fans responded with contempt whistles at the end.

And if all this is not enough, the senior defender of Maccabi Tel Aviv, Enrique Sborit, was injured in the Achilles area and the team is worried that he is suffering from a serious injury. The player will be tested to diagnose the severity of the injury

Meanwhile, the Yellows' professional manager, Barak Yitzhaki, was injured in a car accident at the weekend and was hospitalized at Beilinson Hospital. Yitzhaki was injured relatively lightly in the elbow and his hand was amputated.
