The Minister of Internal Security, Amar Bar-Lev, today (Saturday) accused the criminal organizations in the Arab sector in response to the fire that opened tonight at the home of Chief of Staff Jamal Khachrush, head of the crime prevention division in the Arab localities of the police, who lives in Kfar Kanna.
"The shooting tonight is nothing less than a declaration of open war by the crime families on the Israeli police, the force that is at the forefront of defending the State of Israel - and that is a big mistake on their part," Bar-Lev said.
"Khachrush is standing and the police will not be deterred. This incident will only add oxygen and vigor to the plan to eradicate crime on the Arab street."

According to police, damage was done to the senior officer's home but no one was injured in the shooting.
Large forces of police arrived at the scene and are investigating the circumstances of the unusual incident.
Police said police have deployed checkpoints to locate the suspects and investigators are at the scene and collecting findings.
