The sculptor Amal Zayat found in the Syrian collective art exhibition in Ukraine a window for Syrian artists abroad in light of the siege and unjust measures that we are subjected to, so her participation came through a wall portrait measuring 20 x 15 cm from olive wood and in an expressive style that shows the human suffering from life.
And about her participation, the sculptor Amal said in a statement to SANA: "This exhibition came in difficult circumstances that our country is going through, and it was like a lung through which the Syrian artist breathes and shows his civilization, culture and art in a country that embraces a large Syrian community."
Amal explained that Syrian plastic art has received interest in Ukraine, both during the electronic exhibition that was held last year or through this exhibition, which allowed the Ukrainian public to learn about contemporary Syrian plastic art and the culture it carries as a continuation of our ancient civilization.
The exhibition also allowed the Ukrainian public and the Syrian community in Ukraine, according to the hope of establishing a visual, psychological and emotional dialogue with the Syrian plastic works, which it included, which would be reflected in the formation of a mental image of the reality of Syrian art and the culture of our people and civilization, considering that such events open new markets for Syrian artworks, which will be beneficial. The artist emphasized that the importance of this exhibition stems from the fact that it came at the initiative of the sculptor Afif Agha and in cooperation with the Syrian community in Ukraine, which reflected the extent of the Syrian people's love for their homeland and adherence to their culture and civilization.
