Hurlingham's ruling party went through the final part of the Primary campaign just as it began: with the new mayor

Damián Selci

and his fellow campers gradually taking more prominence, and a notorious absence of the now Minister of Social Development,

Juan Zabaleta.

Since leaving the municipal executive, the outgoing mayor has

only been in his territory twice,

which does not mean that he does not follow him closely.

For one of the most "albertistas" of the communal heads of Greater Buenos Aires, the objective is to return to the Municipality in 2023.

The first instance in which it was shown in Hurlingham was in an act of militancy, on August 28.

He was almost a visitor,

surrounded by figures from La Cámpora

, such as Selci, the vice president of PAMI, Martín Rodríguez - who in the future also aspires to the mayor -, and the leader of the group, Máximo Kirchner.

Damián Selci and Juan Zabaleta in an act with the militancy, averaging the campaign, at the end of August.

While the campers shared photos of the event on their networks,

the licensed mayor

, who has a complicated relationship with the Kirchnerist organization,

did not make any reference to the event on his platforms.

The second occasion, which Zabaleta did publicize on his networks, was the Saturday before the end of the campaign, when he

accompanied President Alberto Fernández and the candidate for deputy Victoria Tolosa Paz

on a tour of the district that he governed from 2015 to August 2021. Another frame, of course.

It could even be said that he was more like a minister.

The Frente de Todos has

a single list of councilors

in Hurlingham, as in most of the districts of the Province where the governing coalition is ruling party.

But before the unit list was agreed,

La Cámpora's

usual tug

of war with Zabaleta was going to culminate in two different lists

, which were even made public.

Let's not settle for rebuilding what was there.

Let's think about everything we want and dream about.

We are going to do it with the entire Hurlingham community.

At that time the relationship with cluster K reached the

boiling point

.

And beyond the fact that after the closure, and laboriously, the unit was sealed, no one is aware that the hard K have aspirations of permanence in the Municipal Palace.

For this reason, they aspire to make it clear in these legislatures that they too can guarantee a good electoral result in the district.

And on Sunday they hope to give a first taste of it.

To confirm in November and then consolidate it with

Selci's

management

.

In the middle of the campaign, the interim mayor began to give his stamp to the local government, with some changes in the municipal Cabinet, until now within what had been planned.

One of the last activities promoted was a meeting in La Plata with the Buenos Aires ministers of Public Works and Justice, to "build a way out of the pandemic by advancing a future agenda with

more works for our community

."

The other thing he spread was a long thread on Twitter with photos of the closing of the Frente de Todos campaign in Hurlingham, and thanks to the local candidates.

The payroll that resulted from the late agreement with Zabaleta is made up of 6 candidates who were part of the original list of La Cámpora and 4 of which the then mayor had set up with himself at the helm.

The roster was headed by Viviana Lodos, a teacher from the SUTEBA union that made up the Zabaleta option, followed by the camper Nicolás Vilela, with functions at the University of Hurlingham.

The intern of Together

On the opposition side, this time

Juntos has two options.

An accompanying the candidacy of

Diego Santilli national deputy

, and is led by

Lucas Delfino,

winner of the legislative 2017. But now, the main reference of the PRO in the district an unexpected competitor, a

former ally came to

him.

It is about Andrea Giorgini, a former councilor who broke spears and took charge of the municipal option aligned with the radical neurologist

Facundo Manes

.

Thank you very much @horaciorlarreta!

Against this background, Delfino obtained weighty support at the end of the campaign: "I ask Hurlingham residents to vote for Lucas Delfino, who is our candidate and who is also our future mayor," declared the Head of Government. from Buenos Aires Horacio Rodríguez Larreta, in a kind of spot that they recorded together and spread through the networks.

For his part, Giorgini surprised with a video in which he sings his own campaign jingle as a duet and received both Manes and another important ally in the region: the former mayor of San Miguel and former minister of María Eugenia Vidal, Joaquín de La Torre, who is the first candidate for Buenos Aires senator on the radical heart surgeon's ballot.

On Sunday the internal will be defined.

If the loser of the municipal contest reaches 15% of the votes of the alliance, he will insert some of his candidates on the ballot for the November general elections.

Other 19 candidates for the Council

In addition, on Sunday there will be another

19 options for councilors, in the dark rooms of Hurlingham

belonging to 16 electoral fronts;

the vast majority, without interns.

Some are short ballots (without national or provincial candidates), such as that of the neighborhood party Juntos por Hurlingham, and others in a sheet that includes the candidates for national deputies and Buenos Aires senators for the First Section.
