Dad's dance with the babysitter crossed the line?
(@ raypo3)
It’s hard not to raise an eyebrow at the sight of this documentation of a father and the babysitter of his children dancing tight without any necessary distancing to the job.
Even the non-judgmental of us will not be able to ignore it.
Father Andrew and the babysitter, 23-year-old Lizzie Horton, sparked outrage online as their video of them dancing, hugging and lifting each other in the air was posted on Tiktok - and more by his wife, Rachel.
The video prompted many to warn 34-year-old Rachel of the "inappropriate" closeness between her husband and their children's babysitter: "This is a clear red flag, be careful," they wrote to her.
In the video, the two dance in a "corrupt dance" style, lifting each other by the waist and hugging each other.
The closeness between them is so exaggerated that even Rachel is heard saying behind the camera: "You touched her chest!"
And Andrew responds with a laugh: "I know, I know."

What do you say about their behavior in the video?
Definitely excessive and inappropriate
It's completely innocent
The video garnered more than 11 million views and people expressed the discomfort they felt while watching it.
One wrote: "The fact that they both feel very comfortable dancing like that is disturbing."
Another joked: "My wife divorced me just because I watched this video."
A third wrote: "What they do does not even seem fun. They just like to touch each other."
Many childminders have written that they will never behave in this way next to their male employer.
One wrote: "I have been caring for children for 15 years and nothing like this has ever happened to me."

Seems a bit problematic, doesn't it?

Rachel defended the behavior of Andrew and Lizzie and noted that Lizzie is like a "family".
She even joked about it in the video: "This is what happens when Dad comes home before the caregiver leaves."
Rachel provided some context to explain their relationship.
She told how they knew Lizzie and said she worked in the kindergarten where their eldest son went.
She added: "She was always the nicest, sweetest. She would send us pictures all day and we would talk all day. She was not like the other people who worked there and I was not like the other mothers. We were friends."

During the corona, the couple hired Lizzie to help them while Rachel went to work and Andrew worked from home.
Despite being home together, Rachel said Andrew worked upstairs and Lizzie kept the kids downstairs so there wasn’t much interaction between them (at least that’s what she knows).
Now that Andrew is back in the office, Rachel added: "On the rare occasion that she does see him, they are so happy to see each other because she's like our little sister. We love her to death. She's really funny and weird and we can laugh with her and do nonsense with her. - On the contrary, she is also with us. "
Rachel also referred to the harsh reactions to the babysitter: "Stop attacking her. She is an angel. She is a gift from God to our family and people attack her as if she is some kind of g ** e."
Lizzie herself responded to the allegations in one sentence: "I'm not trying to take advantage of anyone, everyone can relax."
