Federal election 2021: Setback for Laschet in the first triell
On Sunday evening, August 29th, the candidates for chancellor met for the first of a total of three trials.
There were no major surprises or mistakes.
According to a quick survey by the Forsa Institute, Scholz seems to have won the race, followed by Baerbock.
For Laschet, however, things didn't look as good.
He got the worst off during the TV triall.
In addition, there are the current historically poor polls of his party - a few weeks before the federal election, the SPD even overtook the Union.
The downfall of Laschet and the surge of Scholz also continue when it comes to the question of which of the candidates is suitable for the Chancellery.

Among the three candidates, Laschet is the one who is under the greatest pressure.

At 8:15 p.m., Baerbock, Laschet and Scholz compete against each other for the second time, this time on ARD and ZDF.

The third and final electoral triall will take place exactly one week before the federal election on September 19th.
On September 23, the final round of the top candidates from all parties represented in the Bundestag will take place.
