A bad moment lived the Mendoza federal judge
Walter Bento
who was preparing to have lunch at a grill located in Palmares, a neighborhood of the capital of the province: several clients
repudiated his presence
.
Between shouts and insults, the diners treated him as "corrupt" and "immoral" and finally the magistrate
had to quickly leave the place
.
According to the newspaper
Los Andes
, the escrache took place at 2:25 p.m. this Sunday when about
50 people
were having lunch at a well-known local grill.
There, according to witnesses, the judge, who is being processed for illicit association, had to leave the place after a strong repudiation of several diners who shouted "
corrupt
" and "
immoral
", among other insults.
The federal judge, prosecuted for the crimes of illicit association, bribery, illicit enrichment and money laundering,
supervises the PASO in Mendoza.

A couple of hours before the repudiation on the grill, Bentos had spoken with the Mendoza media.
He maintained that he is "
absolutely innocent
" and that "I will prove it."
"I am calm, I am absolutely innocent and it is not something that I say, it is something that I will try when we have the possibility of
having judges who read,
" he said in front of the cameras.
And he added: "In no way does it weigh me down to carry out electoral responsibility, on the contrary.
I have been running the elections for 16 years without any inconvenience,
" he said during an interview conducted by Channel 7 of Mendoza.
"I have a team of professionals, it gives me pleasure to work with them. In no way do I have any complications in being here," he said, after being consulted about his role in the middle of the judicial processes he faces.
Regarding the complaints due to the
lack of ballots
from different parties in the schools in Mendoza, Bento assured that "
no formal complaint
reached them
."
Bento, with electoral jurisdiction in the Mendoza district, was prosecuted at the end of last July as the alleged leader of an
illicit association dedicated to the collection of bribes
and also an embargo of more than 327 million pesos was blocked on his assets and those of his wife, Marta Boiza.
So far, the case in which the judge is being processed has 24 defendants, of whom 10 were arrested, and three of them with house arrest.
