From the first moment we were introduced to Karin, we were told she was an outstanding student.
And here, in the episode of "Wedding at First Sight" that aired last night (Saturday) we got proof of that.
Karin listened to what Yael taught her and also to what Itamar told her, and she implements it perfectly.
She stops trying to buy Itamar's love, stops with the big projects, and now she's trying to give him a sense of home.
The problem is, she does not really know what a house is.
She tries and struggles, but does not like being in the kitchen and does not know how to cook.
Itamar explains to her that cooking is a code name for home cooking, and he did not mean for her to cook, but in the same sentence he also tells her that a purchased meal is not home.

Karin is willing to wear sweatpants and socks for him at home, and cook for him foods she does not eat, which earns her many compliments from him, and rightly so.
But all of Karin's actions are an external setting.
When Itamar says "home" he means a home that is full of joy, openness, ease, giving, love, truthfulness, transparency, inclusion and acceptance.
Karin is not there yet, she is not giving him any of these yet.
This is why he says to the camera about the fish she cooked: "It does not win in my heart", because the fish is not the main thing but the feeling.
If she tells him "this is the last meal I prepare for you", then he can not feel that it is a wholehearted giving.
Only when Karin knows how to fully dedicate herself will Itamar be able to feel at home.
But it is impossible to fully dedicate yourself after two weeks together, even the most intense ones, certainly not when every step is documented on camera for a program that is broadcast in prime time.
It takes time to get to know, open up and gain trust.
Karin is an outstanding student.
She can definitely get there.
She just needs a patient guide.
