The 15-year-old boy from Shlomi, who is suspected of murdering his 17-year-old friend Shimon Alush, was found fit to stand trial last month, a psychiatrist determined after a look at him.
This ruling was at the center of a hearing in the Krayot Magistrate's Court today (Sunday), where his detention was extended for the third time, until Friday.
The extension of detention was approved by the Attorney General, as required in such a long detention of a juvenile prior to the filing of the indictment.
At the same time, the 17-year-old's defense attorneys, lawyers Tami Ullman and Shadi Saruji, continue to claim his innocence, claiming that he was first attacked and then stabbed in an attempt to defend himself.
