According to several audience surveys, Olaf Scholz also won the second major television debate between the Chancellor candidates and the Chancellor candidate. Among other things, this was the result of an ARD lightning poll after the TV triumph on Sunday evening. According to the Infratest-dimap survey, 41 percent of viewers found the SPD man to be the most convincing overall. Armin Laschet landed in second place with 27 percent, the viewers found the least convincing with 25 percent according to the ARD survey, the Green Chancellor candidate Annalena Baerbock.

The ARD commissioned the survey institute Infratest dimap for the survey, which was published on tagesschau.de and in the political talk show by Anne Will after the TV triell. This survey is representative of the TV viewers of the Triell and therefore not representative of all eligible voters. According to the broadcaster, two thirds of the survey was conducted over the phone and one third online.

The ZDF also saw Scholz in its lightning survey among viewers - but the station came to a different result in second and third place.

32 percent of the surveyed viewers voted for the SPD candidate, followed by Baerbock with 26 percent, and Laschet with 20 percent.

21 percent saw no big difference when asked who did best.

ZDF published the results in “heute journal”, which followed directly on from the TV triall.

The research group Wahlen, which has been compiling surveys on the political opinion of the population for ZDF for decades, asked the people about the station information by telephone.

This survey with 753 respondents was also representative of the viewers of the TV triall and not representative of all eligible voters.
