The traffic on the B2neu between Oberau and the Farchant tunnel remains single-lane for the time being and continues over the new bridge at the south portal of the Oberau tunnel (our picture).
At the end of September, the traffic is then supposed to roll in single lanes on the future B2 new directional carriageway in Munich.
From November, the 4-lane winter traffic routing will come into effect here.
The preparatory work for the establishment of a new traffic routing in the area of the south portal of the Oberau tunnel has been completed. From Wednesday, September 15, traffic will - as before - be guided in both directions in a single lane over the new bridge at the south portal of the Oberau tunnel. However, the existing median crossing (beginning / end of construction site traffic routing) will be shifted a few hundred meters to the south. This extension of the construction site traffic routing is necessary in order to prepare the connection of the B 2 new direction carriageway Munich to the existing route of the B 2.
The traffic routing in the area of the south portal is expected to be changed again in calendar week 39 (end of September). The traffic will then be single-lane on the future B2 new direction Munich carriageway. This traffic routing will remain in place until the beginning of November. After that, the 4-lane winter traffic routing comes into force. Here the traffic in the direction of Garmisch-Partenkirchen flows in two lanes over the new bridge structure from the south portal of the Oberau tunnel. In the direction of Munich, road users will then also have two lanes on the completed directional carriageway Munich on the B2 new up to the south portal of the Oberau tunnel.
