The Bereaved Families Forum "Choosing Life" today (Monday) issued a letter of support to IPS Commissioner Kati Perry, signed by more than a hundred bereaved families. Written in the letter, among other things.

"For several years now, the 'Choosing Life' forum of bereaved families and victims of terrorism has been trying to aggravate the conditions of terrorists in prison, understanding that harsh conditions of incarceration are a very important part of deterring the next terrorist, which unfortunately does not happen today." The forum members noted in the letter and emphasized that "the escape of the terrorists is indeed a big mistake that is not acceptable to us, but it is the kind of thing that precisely makes it possible to completely change the conditions in prison to minimum conditions."

They noted that the pampering conditions enjoyed by terrorists in Israeli prisons, as revealed in Walla !, encourage more terrorists to carry out bloodshed of civilians.

"For years we did everything we could to change, but almost without success. Although we succeeded in our pressure on Arden as Minister of Internal Security to launch the Committee to Examine the Conditions of Terrorists, we were invited to it but unfortunately the committee's recommendations, which were not far-reaching Terrorists have more benefits such as public telephones. "

The forum members expressed confidence in the IPS commissioner in an open letter to the public. .

The letter is signed by more than a hundred bereaved families, including Herzl and Meirav Hajaj, whose daughter, Lieutenant Shir Hajaj, was killed in a car bomb attack at the Commissioner's Palace in 2017;

Yael Shevach, the widow of Rabbi Raziel Shevach who was shot dead in January 2018 by a Palestinian terrorist;

Boaz and her son Kukia, whose son Ron was murdered by two terrorists in Arad, and another long list of bereaved families who have lost loved ones.

Meirav Hajaj, Shir's mother, told Walla!

"It is true that this is a serious omission as a direct result of the omissions we have exposed and warned about for years. There is no doubt that people from the IPS will have to give the verdict.

I'm sure this is not a failure of the Commissioner who only took office a few months ago.

From our acquaintance with the IPS, we think that it is capable of leading to the change and correction required for years, it should be backed up and allowed to rehabilitate the IPS.
