"Prefer prayers outside": The

corona commissioner, Prof. Salman Zarka, held a press briefing today (Monday) and referred to the corona routine during the holidays as well as his visit to Uman against the background of the high morbidity in the celebration.

The Corona projector revealed that the Ministry of Health considered issuing only a verified aircraft trained to Israel, but this was not possible due to the large dispersal in Ukraine.

"It was not possible to prevent the events in Uman," said Projector Zarqa.

Professor Zarka stressed that he did not come to carry out a review but to see things up close and think of ideas to minimize the contagion.

Ahead of Yom Kippur this week, Professor Zarqa called on the public to prefer open-air prayer: "We all have the duty of mindfulness and therefore the preference is to pray outside."

The commissioner also referred to dealing with the contagion in yeshivot and said that the Ministry of Health is monitoring the matter and that with the departure of Yom Kippur, antigen tests will be performed on yeshivot students and those found positive will stay at home to prevent the spread of disease within institutions.

Professor Zarqa stressed that the serological tests show that the morbidity in the Arab sector is the greatest.

"I call for getting vaccinated," said Commissioner Zarka.

"It is the best weapon against the virus. The serious patients are those who have not been vaccinated or it has been six months since we were vaccinated. Even three doses do not give one hundred percent protection, but if a person becomes infected he will not be life-threatening."

"Unfortunately we did not win the fourth wave," Professor Zarka stressed.

"We are seeing an increase in the number of serious patients. We knew that the start of the school year and the gatherings would increase the infection. We are very concerned about the continuation of the infection and call on the public to continue to obey the instructions."

The projector announced that the decision to vaccinate children under the age of 12 will come towards the end of the year, as long as approval comes from the FDA.
