2021-09-13T06:24:18.351Z

BNP Paribas will make one of the largest disbursements on September 30 ENI, with 7.9%, has the highest dividend yield of the EuroStoxx50

September is not, precisely, one of the preferred months for Spanish listed companies to reward the loyalty of their shareholders via dividends.

Not even half a dozen companies distribute coupons in the ninth month of the year.

However, investors looking to invest in securities with an attractive dividend yield and that pay coupons in the coming weeks have several opportunities in sight in other Stock Exchanges of the Old Continent.

In the next four weeks, several major European stocks have an appointment with their shareholders.

Around a dozen companies will pay close to 6,000 million euros in their coupon payments.

One of the largest disbursements will correspond to BNP Paribas.

The French financial institution will disburse close to 2,000 million euros on September 30.

Although the French bank usually repays its shareholders with a single payment per year, this year, due to the crisis caused by the covid and, especially to the limitation that the ECB imposed on banks in the euro zone on the issue of distributions coupon, has done it in two tranches.

In May he paid 1.11 euros and now he is going to distribute 1.55.

The oil company ENI will distribute 1,550 million euros among its shareholders on September 22. The Italian group is the stock with the highest estimated dividend yield for 2021 of the Euro Stoxx 50, according to FactSet data provided by Link Securities, close to 8%. ENI investors will receive a coupon of 0.43 euros per share. This is excellent news for its shareholders since the Italian firm, in 2020, was forced to cut its dividend due to the strong impact that the pandemic had on the price of crude. The oil company agreed on July 29 to distribute 50% of the planned dividend as an interim dividend using available reserves.

In the calendar for the coming weeks there is another bank among the most generous of the Euro Stoxx 50. It is ING that will disburse just over 800 million euros among its investors. The coupon will be distributed on October 12 and its amount will be 0.21 euros per share. The Dutch bank has an estimated dividend yield for 2021 of 6.2% and is one of the six highest in the Euro Stoxx 50, according to FactSet data.

Another of the Euro Stoxx50 securities that will pay a coupon in the coming weeks is the oil company Total Energies. The French company will pay about 175 million euros in a payment that will be made on October 1, but in order to qualify for it, you have to buy shares before September 21. This is the first dividend on account of the results of 2021 and its amount will be 0.66 euros gross. The French oil company already has the next payment scheduled for 2021. The amount will be the same and the payment will be effective on January 13, 2022.

The Dutch Randstad is going to distribute about 300 million euros in a payment of 1.62 euros gross for each share that will be carried out on October 4. It is a special payment that corresponds to the year 2020 and that is of the same amount as that distributed in April, so that in total, charged to the 2020 accounts, the employment group pays 3.24 euros.

France's Remy Cointreau, the legendary wine and spirits company, pays out a dividend in the coming days. Specifically, it will execute a payment of 1.85 euros per share on October 1.

Among the European companies that are going to distribute in the coming weeks there are two that are listed in London. The first of these is CRH, which will pay out a dividend of £ 0.29 on October 9. During the presentation of the semi-annual results, the construction materials group increased its interim dividend and said it has a lot of strength to make more acquisitions, after the first half profits increased 25%, to 2 billion dollars.

The other company is Smurfit Kappa.

It is a London-listed Irish company that manufactures, distributes and sells paper-based packaging products and will pay £ 0.29 gross for each share owned.

Spanish payments

In the coming weeks only two Spanish companies will distribute coupons.

The first of them is Unicaja, which will pay a gross dividend of 0.00202 euros per share on Friday the 17th. For its part, the food company Ebro Foods will distribute a dividend of 0.19 euros on October 1.

To be eligible for these payments, you must have shares in the companies on September 14 and 20, respectively.
