Both the national government and that of the Province of Buenos Aires were shocked by the victory of Juntos in the most populated district of the country, but when comparing the votes with the 2019 election that returned power to Peronism,

he suffered a loss of support that exacerbated his level of alarm.

In just two years it yielded more than two million votes and almost 20 percentage points.

In 2019, under the umbrella of the Frente de Todos, Kirchnerism added Sergio Massa as its main ally and the presidential candidacy of Alberto Fernández and Cristina Fernández de Kirchner added

4,970,252 votes in the Province of Buenos Aires, which represented 52, 61%

.

In the final count, he obtained 300,000 more votes than in the provisional ballot on August 11, which marked the beginning of the end of Mauricio Macri's presidency.

While for the position of governor, in the 2019 Primaries, when Axel Kicillof took a wide advantage over María Eugenia Vidal, the amount of votes of the Frente de Todos climbed to

4,921,536

,

which gave 52.74%.

That percentage fell to 52.4% in the final scrutiny of those PASO, despite having added votes and reaching

 5,274,511

.

In this election, the one with the lowest participation since 1983, with 86.79% of the polls scrutinized,

that support fell 19 points and barely reached 33.49%

.

In votes, they were just over 2.5 million.

The province with the most registered voters is Buenos Aires, with 12,704,518 voters, and the participation on what was counted reached 68.38%.

In the First Electoral Section, which groups together the municipalities of the North and the West, Together, with two lists, it added 40.14%;

while the Frente de Todos reached 35.48%.

While in the Third Electoral Section, the heart of Kirchnerism, Peronism achieved 42.41%, while Juntos reached 32.84%.

Victoria Tolosa Paz topped the list that achieved 22.49% of the votes.

It is an important fact because with 84% of

votes counted, 42% translates into

1,054,314 votes, half of the 2019's 2,100,760

, the first time in history that had reached two million votes.

In the total of the country, in the PASO 2019 the Front of All reached 12,202,770 votes and its percentage rose to 49.49%.

Macri, meanwhile, had totaled 8,121,416, which represented 32.93%.

Comparison with 2017

The comparison with respect to the PASO of 2017 also shows a regression of Kirchnerism.

The list headed by Victoria Tolosa Paz obtained the same percentage of votes as Cristina Fernández de Kirchner when she competed with the Unidad Ciudadana label four years ago, in the defeat against Esteban Bullrich without having all Peronism aligned as it currently has.

49.62%

of the electorate.

Today, with 88.56% of the polls scrutinized,

the Frente de Todos lost 16 points

compared to what was accumulated in 2017 by Cristina Kirchner and Sergio Massa each on their own.

In number of votes, Cristina achieved 3,229,194 four years ago, while the now president of the Chamber of Deputies, 1,451,688 votes.
