His cell phone number is plastered all over the streets of

Escobar

and the motive that supports his request for help to the community as well.

This is a new solidarity campaign headed by

Fernando Palavecino

, a 27-year-old who

needs a wheelchair whose cost is equivalent to $ 1.5 million.

This situation also prevents him from playing soccer on wheels again, a place that gave him friends on and off the pitch as well as his insatiable passion for the sport.

Fernando's wish is to get a motorized chair

that adapts to his comforts and provides him with the basic functions to get around

.

For this reason, a month ago, he began to publish posts on his social networks in order to raise money through the sale of raffles and in this way, spread the request for help that is vitally important for his health.

"Currently I have a chair, but not only that it is borrowed but it is also uncomfortable because it is small and that causes pain in my legs. I understand that the cost is very expensive because everything that implies health is, but the new wheelchair it offers amenities that are more tailored to my needs, "he explains.

People who decide to buy a raffle can do so through Whats App. In addition, those who participate have the possibility of winning a Smart or a Play 4.

Fernando suffers from

muscular dystrophy

, a group of genetic diseases that cause progressive weakness and loss of muscle mass.

Although each person -with this disability- responds to a particular diagnosis and may wake up at different stages of child development, their case was from birth.

"At the age when all boys start to walk alone, I had trouble doing it and had to always hold onto something so as not to fall," he points out about how the first symptoms began to develop that helped him detect the disease early.

And he adds: "Little by little I began to lose strength in my muscles and to have certain complications that affected my routine. For example, at 8 years old I went to school on a bicycle with wheels and

after suffering severe pneumonia at 13 years old I began to use my first manual chair. "

Another of the symptoms that are prone in those with muscular dystrophy is

difficulty in breathing and swallowing

.

In particular, Fernando required a respirator only when he slept, but this last time the disease weakened him even more and his use necessarily became continuous and indispensable.

"That's why I also need the new chair. Not only is it tailored to me, but I can also adapt the respirator and recline it when I need to rest."

Fernando Palavecino started playing soccer on wheels in 2014. He has passed through several clubs in the northern part of the GBA until today, as part of the "Tigre del Bajo" team.

Although the objective of acquiring a new wheelchair is based mainly on feeling comfortable to lead the daily life that he had long ago, Fernando's illusion is also linked to getting excited again on a field and playing a game of soccer on wheels with his friends from the

Tigres del Bajo

club

.

That passion, which began in 2014 and continues to this day in his words like a dream that he refuses to let go of, is one of the engines that motivates Palavecino to fight for his goals and move forward.

"It is a beautiful sport that I love, that has given me friends, anecdotes and the desire to compete."

Soccer on motorized wheels came into his life thanks to a comment made by his aunt about the fact that Escobar performed this type of sport.

"She knows that I am passionate about soccer, so she told me immediately. Not two days had passed since I was already calling the place to sign up and as soon as I went to try I loved it."

From that first training session he did not stop.

He has passed through the fields of the National Technological University (UTN) of

Pacheco

to travel almost 40 minutes to exercise with another club in a field located in

Martínez

.

"I participated in tournaments, cups and exhibition matches.

I was also in the pre-selection, but there a professional wheelchair was needed that at that time I did not have

. It was a huge disadvantage, but year after year the sport becomes more and more competitive".

Fernando was in the pre-selection, but because he did not have a professional wheelchair, he could not continue.

Although it is not the first time that Fernando and his family have tried to carry out solidarity campaigns to obtain a good health, it is the first time regarding the value of the item in question.

"In 2015 we already held raffles, donations and clubs to buy the professional chair that allowed me to play in the pre-selection of soccer. It took time, but in 2018 we got it thanks to the mobilization of many people."

And he adds: "I have already seen how they respond in Escobar,

whenever I needed help they have given me a huge hand

. This time the request is more expensive and although the social work collaborates, you have to fight it and they take their time for everything. That is why I decided to go ahead and start the campaign on my own. "

For those who want to collaborate with the cause, they can buy a raffle of $ 80 with which they participate in a draw for a Smart TV and a Play 4. The order can be made through the Whatts App at the number

+5491149602157

where they will also receive more information about.

In his social networks Fernando had published that it was not a whim of him to want that wheelchair, nor that he chose it "because it was the most fachera", but that it was simply a recommendation from his doctor.

"I always want to improve myself for the better, the idea of the raffles began a month ago and although it costs, I always try to move forward," he concludes.
