A 57-year-old diver has been missing since Sunday after an excursion in Lake Vouglans (Jura), AFP learned Monday (September 13) from a judicial source.

" took part on Sunday morning in an excursion in Lake Vouglans, in the town of Onoz, with the Saint-Claude diving club, Lons-le-Saunier prosecutor, Lionel Pascal, told AFP. His companions noticed his absence at midday, during the ascent to the surface, after having explored the site of the Chartreuse de Vaucluse monastery, submerged when the lake was flooded in 1968.
Monday morning, the search continued to try to find his body.
Additional resources will arrive during the day, including sonar to facilitate underwater detection.

It can be a material or human failure (malaise, too late recovery ...),
"he added.
An investigation was opened and entrusted to the Saint-Jean-de-Losne river brigade, supported by the Jura gendarmerie.
