It is only at the foot of the Merveille, the name given to the medieval part of the abbey of Mont-Saint-Michel, that the scaffolding can be seen.
They stick to the walls, as much as possible, without much footprint.
Since December 2020, the abbey has been in full restoration and the site is almost as spectacular as that of the Archangel in 2016 or that of the cloister, a year later.

Located at the top of the rock, with several levels of construction, this jewel of the Gothic architect houses the famous cloister.
It has 8,000 square meters of granite facades, 52 meters high - the size of the Arc de Triomphe in Paris.
Seven centuries after its construction, the Merveille was showing signs of fatigue, without being in real danger of collapse.
"The auscultation of the facades was carried out by rope access technicians, and thanks to drones"
, indicates the Center des monuments nationaux, which manages this part of Mont-Saint-Michel.
