Musical premieres: J Balvin presents his fifth album, "José"

This week the musical premieres in Zona Pop CNN are headed by the "boy from Medellín", J Balvin, who released "José", his fifth studio album.

Also on the list are the collaborations of Sofía Reyes and Becky G in "Mal de amores" and Beatriz Luengo with Darell in "Chanteito pa 'un ex".

At Zona Pop CNN we collect some of the most notable premieres.

Music premieres of the week:

J Balvin, "José"

After several months with important releases, J Balvin released "José", his fifth record production.

And he presents it with "If you dare" with Zion & Lennox.

In interviews, Balvin has said that the album constitutes a kind of 

playlist

of music and rhythms that he personally would like to hear in the urban genre.

The production boasts an impressive 24 songs.

Several of them all a few hits like "What else then?"

together with María Becerra or "In Da Getto" with Skrillex.

Along with the launch, the singer unveiled the audiovisual experience presented with Dolby Atmos technology on Apple Music.

because on Spotify you can also enjoy the "José Multiverso", described by that platform as "a joyful and shocking cinematographic experience that mixes animation and real life, allowing J Balvin to lead take fans on a visual journey through various aspects of their personality so their fans can really see the person behind the music, "Spotify shared through a statement.

Sofía Reyes and Becky G, "Mal de amores"

Sofía Reyes returns to our list of musical premieres with a fusion of cumbia and pop.

The Mexican singer joined forces with Becky G to sing to "Mal de amores."

The song, as its title indicates, speaks of spite and her decision not to suffer for a man.

The song also pays tribute to two icons of popular culture: Paquita la del Barrio and Selena Quintanilla.

From Paquita la del Barrio they take the phrase "filthy rat, creeping animal" from the song "Two-legged rat."

While the aesthetics of the video, including the costumes, is inspired by the queen of tex-mex, Selena.

The song was produced by the Colombian duo Andrés Torres and Mauricio Rengifo.

Beatriz Luengo and Darell, "Chanteito pa 'un ex"

And speaking of Paquita la del Barrio, the Mexican singer also has a leading role in this video of the new Beatriz Luengo with Darell.

"Chanteíto pa 'un ex", which also talks about female empowerment, was written by Luengo, her husband Yotuel, Andrés Castro, Alean Imbert and Darell.

According to a press release, the song is inspired by the experience of a friend.

Leiva and Ximena Sariñana, "Hysterics"

And we continue with the collaborations in these musical premieres of the week.

This time we have the wonderful union between singer-songwriters Leiva and Ximena Sariñana. 

Both present "Histónicos", a preview of their next album "When you bite your lip", in which the Spaniard collaborates only with Hispanic female singers.

According to a press release, the album will not be a feminist claim but "an encounter with artists who have blown my mind." 

“Women of a generation who are doing things that I find interesting, modern (...) and that are flourishing.

Songs written for their voices and for their orbits, their universes.

Female voices that blend with mine.

Modernity understood from the retro (...) Modernity and simplicity, "said Leiva through a statement.

Elvis Costello & The Attractions, Sebastián Yatra, "Llorar" (Big Tears)

And to finish the main list of music premieres of the week we have Sebastián Yatra performing "Llorar", the Spanish adaptation of the hit "Big Tears" by Elvis Costello and The Attractions.

In the song, Yatra shows the versatility in her voice by performing the 1978 rock classic.

"My voice sounds quite different than in other songs. It is more rock and it helped me feel more confident and not be afraid of screaming or showing a raw side. I felt that it was very nice to be able to sing this in Spanish. I want to thank Elvis for having written this song, "Yatra said in a statement.

The video was directed by the Venezuelan Pablo Croce and has the special participation, in the performance, of the young Venezuelan singer-songwriter Joaquina Blavia Canabal.
