Netanyahu trial:
Today (Monday) the cross-examination of the main witness in the 4000 case - Ilan Yeshua, former Walla CEO, is expected to resume.
The former prime minister's attorney, Adv. Boaz Ben Tzur, will continue the investigation from where it was stopped on June 16.
Opposition leader Benjamin Netanyahu is not expected to attend the hearing after receiving an exemption from the evidentiary process at the Salvation hearings.
Last Thursday, the prosecution filed its response to the defendants in the 2000 case, who responded to the prosecution's notice, regarding the completion of a planned investigation.
It will be recalled that the completion of the investigation requested by the State Attorney's Office concerned a supplementary investigation by witness Avi Alkalay, for the purpose of presenting dozens of documents to him, which were found in a telephone search of witness Yeshua.
Also, in the last hearing held in June, Netanyahu's attorneys and Shaul Alovich sought to postpone the hearings for further cross-examination until after the holidays, because of the new interrogation materials received from Yeshua's phone. Initially, a court rejected their request, but eventually the judges reversed their decision and ruled that the hearings would resume in early July. Eventually the discussions resumed only now and will take place twice this week - on Monday and Tuesday. It will then be held 3 times a week, on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
