A man killed his wife before killing himself in Saint-Pierre-lès-Nemours (Seine-et-Marne) on the night of Saturday to Sunday, AFP learned Monday, September 13 from the prosecutor's office in Melun and police sources.

The bodies of the 65-year-old woman and her 64-year-old husband were found around 10:40 p.m. by the police in their room in this village, located 80 km south of Paris, a police source told AFP.
They were both shot in the head.

The girl had warned the police after receiving messages from her father telling him that he was going to end his life,
" added the same source.

He killed her and then killed himself, there was no complaint
" for domestic violence before the fact, said the prosecutor's office in Melun, referring to "
internal problems with the couple
".
According to another police source, which describes a long-suffering couple, the woman had wanted to leave her husband for some time.
The investigation was entrusted to the Fontainebleau police station.
