Kirchheim
- The through traffic on the A 99 can continue to flow on the motorway during the construction work.
At the Kirchheim junction, however, there are partial closures of ramps on individual nights.
The traffic will then be diverted locally via the roundabout at the entrance to Kirchheim or via the Aschheim industrial park, reports Autobahn GmbH.

Friday night
The temporary bridge is lifted in over the distribution lane in the direction of Lindau / Stuttgart.
The traffic on the A 99 can flow undisturbed.
At the Kirchheim junction, outbound traffic coming from Salzburg with destination Aschheim is diverted via the roundabout at the entrance to Kirchheim.
Incoming traffic from Aschheim in the direction of Stuttgart is also affected.
The diversion also takes place via the roundabout.
The diversions are signposted.
All other routes at the Kirchheim junction remain open.
The construction of the traffic management and the construction of the heavy-duty crane will begin at 7 p.m.
The temporary bridge begins to be lifted in at 9:30 p.m.
The work is finished by 5 a.m.
Saturday night
Lifting in of the temporary bridge over the main carriageway in the direction of Lindau / Stuttgart.
Traffic from Salzburg in the direction of Lindau / Stuttgart will be diverted via the parallel distribution lane.
The number of lanes will be reduced from three to two.
At the Kirchheim junction, all traffic will remain open.

Sunday night
The temporary bridge is lifted into place over the main carriageway in the direction of Salzburg.
Traffic from Lindau / Stuttgart in the direction of Salzburg will be diverted via the parallel distribution lane.
The number of lanes will be reduced from three to two.
All travel routes remain open at the Kirchheim junction.
The construction of the traffic routing begins at 8 p.m. and the lift starts at 9.30 p.m.
The work is finished by 5 a.m.
Monday night

The traffic on the A 99 can flow unchanged.
Traffic coming from Lindau / Stuttgart that wants to exit at the Kirchheim junction in the direction of Kirchheim will be rerouted locally via the Aschheim industrial park.
Also affected is the outgoing traffic coming from Stuttgart, which is also diverted via the Aschheim industrial park.
The diversions are signposted.
All other routes at the Kirchheim junction remain open.

Further partial closures
In preparation for the excavation work, the two distribution lanes must be rebuilt so that two lanes can be used.
For this purpose, on the two nights from Monday, September 13th, to Tuesday, September 14th, and from Tuesday to Wednesday, September 15th, the entrances and exits of the Kirchheim junction must be temporarily closed.
The diversions are made locally via the roundabout at the entrance to Kirchheim or via the Aschheim industrial park.

The next step is to move traffic to the newly built temporary bridge in October so that the existing road bridge can be demolished in November.

Eight-lane expansion
Since the middle of the year, two temporary bridges have been built over the A 99 for the eight-lane expansion. Immediately to the south of the existing bridge at the Kirchheim junction, a temporary bridge will be built so that road traffic can flow on it while the existing road bridge is being demolished and rebuilt.
