In preparation for the excavation work, the two distribution lanes must be rebuilt so that two lanes can be used.

For this purpose, on the two nights from Monday, September 13th, to Tuesday, September 14th, and from Tuesday to Wednesday, September 15th, the entrances and exits of the Kirchheim junction must be temporarily closed.

the next steps

The next step is to move traffic to the newly built temporary bridge in October so that the existing road bridge can be demolished in November.

Depending on the weather, there may be short-term postponements or changes at any time.

Eight-lane expansion

Since the middle of the year, two temporary bridges have been built over the A 99 for the eight-lane expansion. Immediately to the south of the existing bridge at the Kirchheim junction, a temporary bridge will be built so that road traffic can flow on it while the existing road bridge is being demolished and rebuilt. In addition to the Erdinger Straße bridge over the motorway, a temporary bridge will also be built for pedestrians and cyclists for the construction period of the new bridge. gü
