The Tel Aviv Family Court today (Tuesday) received an official request to handle the case of Eitan Biran, the only survivor of the cable car disaster in Italy, by his grandfather.
The lawsuit was filed by Aya Biran and the sister of the late Amit, the boy's father, who is defined as Eitan's guardian. According to her, 5-year-old Eitan was abducted from Italy to Israel by his grandfather Shmuel Peleg.
On Saturday evening, it was reported in the Jewish community in Milan that Shmuel Peleg, Eitan Biran's grandfather, had come to pick him up as part of an arrangement established by the Italian court.
When they did not return home at the appointed time, Aya Biran, his aunt and who is defined by the Italian authorities as Eitan's guardian, began to realize that something was wrong.
The family's lawyers later said that a WhatsApp message had been received which read: "Ethan has returned home."
According to the allegations in Italy, the grandfather, Shmuel Peleg (the father of the late Tal, Eitan's mother), took Eitan's Israeli passport from his parents' house. With the treadmill he uses following the serious accident he went through.

According to a report in the Italian "La Stampa", Shmuel Peleg, Eitan's grandfather drove the boy from Italy to Switzerland, and from there flew with him in a private plane to Israel, using the boy's Israeli passport.
The Courier della Sera newspaper reported that the grandfather had ties to Israeli intelligence organizations, and even stated that he had a military past and the well-planned operation was evidence of his skills, although no verification was received from any other source.
The grandfather's family denied that he had been abducted and issued a statement: "The beloved Eitan returned after losing his entire family, as his late parents wanted.
Immediately upon his arrival, Eitan is in intensive medical care by a senior medical staff at the hospital. Eitan was brought to Israel in a manner that fulfills his parents' will. He was not abducted and nothing unfounded or similar. "Beyond that, it is not possible to detail at the moment due to the publication orders resulting from being a minor."
