"BoJo" plan to tame the Covid this winter

The British Prime Minister is betting in particular on revaccination to avoid a new lockdown of the country.

Boris Johnson presented his strategy against the Covid on Tuesday for a winter that could be

“bumpy”

.

In order to avoid new confinements at all costs, a variety of measures have been unveiled.

The main weapon will remain vaccination and the government has notably planned a

“booster” program

offering a third booster dose to certain categories of the population.

"The Covid is still there and remains a risk"

declared the Prime Minister, while expressing confidence in the capacity to

"protect the gains that we have made together"

Adults over 50 (starting from the oldest), vulnerable people and caregivers will therefore be offered a new vaccine injection next week.
