The federal election is getting closer and closer.

For the CSU, however, a recent survey is sobering.

Markus Söder's party has suffered losses.

Munich - The hot phase of the federal election campaign is underway - and it currently looks mixed for the CSU.

In a new poll for the federal election, the party of Bavaria's Prime Minister Markus Söder continues to lose approval.

According to the current “voter check” on the program “17:30 Sat.1 Bayern”, 28 percent of voters in the Free State would vote for the Christian Socialists if there was an election next Sunday.

For comparison: In the previous survey at the beginning of September, 29 percent were in favor of voting for the CSU.

A loss of one percentage point.

In July it looked very different.

At the time, the Christian Socials were still at 35 percent.

Bayern survey: CSU continues to slide - SPD in the fast lane

The SPD, on the other hand, can celebrate.

Within six weeks, the party has doubled in favor of voters.

The Social Democrats are currently at 18 percent in the survey.

At the beginning of September, the party of Chancellor candidate Olaf Scholz came in at 15 percent.

The Greens have to accept further losses and are currently at 17 percent.

At the beginning of September it was 18 percent and in July 20 percent.

The FDP remains at around 12 percent (beginning of September: 13 percent, July: 12 percent), the AfD remains at 10 percent compared to the beginning of September and the Free Voters at 6 percent.

Only just over half of those surveyed (54 percent) who named a party are sure that they will "definitely" vote for the party.

44 percent are also thinking about voting for other parties.

Who should become Federal Chancellor?

SPD candidate Olaf Scholz in first place in terms of popularity

In first place in the candidate question is SPD Chancellor candidate Olaf Scholz.

When asked "If you could make a personal decision, who would you most like to be as Chancellor?" 39 percent decided in favor of the Social Democrats in the current survey.

That is plus 2 percentage points compared to the beginning of September.

And a whole plus 15 percentage points compared to July.

Union top candidate Armin Laschet remains in second place with 21 percent (minus 1 point compared to the beginning of September and minus 7 points compared to July), Green candidate Annalena Baerbock remains unchanged at 14 percent.

However, the result does not match another wish of the voters: 34 percent want the Union to lead the governing coalition.

Only 27 percent would prefer a leadership by the SPD, 12 percent by the Greens.
